MobileSHIELD Setup Guide (Android)

Steps: 

1. Review End User License Terms

2. Tap ‘Accept and continue’

3. Input phone number (+601xxxxxxxx)

4. Key in temporary password (refer to MobileSHIELD Welcome SMS)

5. Tap ‘Continue’ to login

Step 1: Initiate Device Protection

1. Select ‘Device Protection’ 

2. Tap ‘Get Started’

Step 2: Enable Scanning

1. Scanning of files and apps will begin automatically

2. Wait for the scan to complete

3. Tap the Settings icon in the top right corner

4. Toggle to enable scan for device protection

Step 1: Initiate Scam Protection and Chrome Protection

1. Select ‘Scam Protection’, 

2. Tap ‘Get started’

3. Select  ‘Chrome Protection’ 

Step 2: Enable Chrome Protection Accessibility (1/2)

1. Tap ‘Get started’

2. ‘Continue’

3. Tap on ‘Installed apps’

4. Select ‘MobileSHIELD’ and turn it on  

Step 2: Enable Chrome Protection Accessibility (2/2)

1. Tap ‘Allow’ and ‘Continue’

2. Toggle on MobileSHIELD to allow it appear on top

Step 3: Enable Chrome, Banking, Shopping Protection

1. Tap on the ’Settings’ icon on top right corner

2. Toggle on ‘Browsing, Banking, and Shopping Protection’

3. Your browsing is now protected on Chrome

Step 1: Initiate WiFi Protection

1. Tap on ‘Scam Protection’ 

2. Select ‘WiFi Protection’

3. “Get started’ to continue

Step 2: Enable WiFi Protection

1. Toggle on WiFi Protection notifications

2. Tap on the ‘Settings’ button on top right

3. Toggle on Safe WiFi notifications 

4. You are now protected from unsafe WiFi connections

Detects risky WiFi connections and inform users

Step 1: Get started on SMS Protection

1. Tap ‘Scam Protection’ 

2. Then ‘Message Protection’ and ‘Get started’

Step 2: Enable permission to Message Protection

1. Tap ‘Allow’ to enable MobileSHIELD to check for dangerous links and patterns in SMS
   

2. Tap ‘Allow’ to grant contact access, so MobileSHIELD can skip checking messages from known senders. This also ensures conversations with your contacts are never sent for analysis.

Step 3: Turn on Message Protection notification

1. Tap Settings button in top-right corner of the Message Protection page.
   

2. Toggle Message Protection notifications on.
   

3. You will receive a notification whenever MobileSHIELD detects a harmful SMS, which will be flagged as a scam in the scam reports.

Step 1: Initiate Privacy VPN

1. Go to ‘VPN’

2. Tap on ‘Get started’

3. ‘Allow’  and ‘OK’ to allow configurations

Step 2: Enable Privacy VPN

1. Toggle on VPN connection

2. Tap on the ‘Settings’ button on top right

3. Toggle on killswitch for automatic protection

4. You Internet traffic is now protected

Step 1: Initiate Password Vault

1. Go to ‘Password Vault’

2. Tap on ‘Get started’ 

3. Select ‘I’m a new user’ to start

4. Set up master password

Step 2: Enable Password Vault

1. Toggle ‘use biometric authentication to unlock’

2. Tap on ‘Add’ and ‘Password’

3. Save your password entry

Step 3: Create Recovery Code in

1. Tap on ‘Settings’ button on top right

2. Select ‘Create Recovery Code’  to save a backup Password Vault access QR code

Step 1: Initiate ID Monitoring

1. Go to ‘ID Monitoring’

2. Tap on ‘Get started’ 

3. Add email to start

Step 2: Add and Verify Email  (1/2)

1. Input your email

2. Verify your email address

Step 2: Add and Verify Email  (2/2)

1. Check your email inbox from ‘MobileSHIELD’ with the title ‘Please confirm your email address’

2. Click ‘Confirm email address’

3. Select ‘Start monitoring with MobileSHIELD’ to return to MobileSHIELD app

Step 3: Add Entry for Monitoring

1. ID Monitoring is now active

2. Tap ‘Add entry’ to monitor more personal information
