How CelcomDigi determines Quota Deduction:
For CelcomDigi, quota deduction depends on the type of quota/plan you’re on. Here’s the general priority/order of deduction:
Quota type / Add-on type | When it’s used / Deduction order |
Promotional freebies / bonus quota | First, if you have free data from promo or campaign, any eligible internet use uses this first. |
Internet add-ons / boosters / extra quota (one-time or recurring) | Next, if you bought extra quota (top-up, booster, or monthly add-on), data consumption will come from this. |
Special quotas for hotspot / social/streaming/gaming / shared-line quota (if applicable) | For certain add-ons, if you use hotspot/tethering or social, streaming, or gaming apps, the usage will be deducted from the dedicated quota for that add-on first before your base quota is used. |
Shared Internet quota (for supplementary lines in a family/shared plan) | If your line is under a supplementary line (in a shared plan), data usage draws from the shared quota of the “principal” line before anything else. |
Base Internet quota (plan-bundled quota) | Finally, after exhausting freebies, add-ons, special quota, and shared quota — usage draws from the base quota that comes with your postpaid or prepaid subscription. |
What this means depending on your plan type:
ScenarioHow Quota Is Used | |
Promotional / bonus data (e.g. free quota from a campaign) | Used first. |
Extra / top-up data (e.g. add-on, booster, top-up) | Used next, after promotional/bonus data is exhausted. |
Special add-ons (e.g. social/streaming/gaming unlimited add-on, hotspot quota, or usage-specific pass) | Usage under that category is deducted from the corresponding quota first. |
Shared / family-line plans | Data usage may tap into the shared pool (principal line’s quota) first, especially if you are on a supplementary line. |
Base plan quota | Once all the above are used, data consumption comes out of your base plan quota (bundled with your postpaid or prepaid plan). |
